Harvest 2025

Harvest 2025: A Historic First for Gloria Ferrer

The dawn of harvest at Gloria Ferrer always carries a sense of anticipation — the air just a little crisper in the morning, the vineyard rows buzzing with life, the quiet hum of the press waiting for its first load of fruit. But this year, that feeling is amplified. On August 14, 2025, we began a harvest unlike any other in our history: our first certified organic harvest.

A Milestone Years in the Making

Achieving organic certification has been a four-year journey requiring patience, precision, and a deep respect for our Carneros estate. From rethinking our farming practices to nurturing healthier soils, increasing biodiversity, and eliminating synthetic inputs, every step brought us closer to this moment.

This wasn’t just about meeting a standard — it was about living our values. Sustainability has long been at the heart of our philosophy, and becoming certified organic is a natural extension of our belief that the best wines are born from healthy vineyards.

The Energy of Harvest

If you’ve ever been at the winery during harvest, you know it’s a season of sensory overload. The early morning chill is giving way to sunlit afternoons. The rhythmic snip of shears in the vineyard. The steady arrival of bins heavy with fruit, each one a promise of what’s to come.

Our winemaking and vineyard teams work side by side in a finely tuned dance — grapes are picked at peak ripeness, transported quickly to the winery, and pressed with the care that’s required for world-class sparkling wine. This precision is essential, but it’s the passion behind the work that truly sets the tone.

Why Organic Matters in the Glass

You may be wondering — what does “organic” mean for the wine in your glass? For us, it means the fruit is grown without synthetic pesticides or herbicides, allowing the pure expression of Carneros to shine through. It also means the land remains vibrant and productive for generations to come.

We believe you’ll taste the difference — in the freshness of the fruit, the vibrancy of the acidity, and the depth of character that comes from grapes grown in harmony with nature.

Looking Ahead

As the first clusters of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay make their way into the press, we’re not just making wine. We’re making history. And while it will be years before these wines are ready to pour, we know they will carry the story of this landmark vintage in every bubble.

We can’t wait to share it with you. Until then, we invite you to follow along as we chronicle the journey of Harvest 2025 — a celebration of the land, the people, and the craft that define Gloria Ferrer.

Here’s to a safe, bountiful, and unforgettable harvest.
