Harvest 2025: Closing The Chapter

As the sun set over Carneros on September 12th, we officially brought the 2025 harvest to a close. What began on August 14th was more than just the start of another vintage — it was the beginning of a new era for Gloria Ferrer. This year marked our very first organic harvest, a milestone year’s in the making and a reflection of our team’s commitment to stewarding the land with integrity, care, and foresight.

A Record of Hard Work

Over the course of 30 days, our vineyard and cellar teams worked with remarkable dedication, skill, and perseverance. Together, they brought in 1,235 total tons of grapes — each cluster a testament to their hands-on labor and unwavering focus on quality.

  • 785 tons of Pinot Noir
  • 426 tons of Chardonnay
  • 14 tons of Pinot Blanc
  • 10 tons of Chenin Blanc — an innovation wine we’re especially excited to share

Harvest is never easy, and this year proved once again that teamwork is everything. On our busiest day, we crushed 131 tons — an astonishing 10.6% of our total harvest in a single day. The long hours, the early mornings, and the physical intensity demanded by this work cannot be overstated. And yet, the team delivered with grit, precision, and pride.

Exceptional Quality

Beyond the numbers, this harvest was defined by its consistency and promise. Steady temperatures, healthy canopies, and even ripening across the estate gave us fruit of extraordinary balance and structure. Acids are vibrant, flavors are layered, and the potential for longevity is high. We’re filled with excitement to see how these wines evolve in the bottle — each one carrying the imprint of an outstanding season and the care of our people.

A Moment to Celebrate

While the tonnage tells one story, the spirit behind it tells another. From the vineyard rows to the cellar floor, every member of the team gave their all. This wasn’t just about bringing in fruit; it was about raising the bar, proving what’s possible when passion and purpose come together.

Looking ahead, the 2025 vintage will forever be remembered as the first vintage made with organic grapes from our estate. It’s a milestone that reflects not only our history, but our vision for the future — one rooted in sustainability, craftsmanship, and respect for the land.

Gratitude

To our team: thank you for your relentless dedication, your strength, and your care. The work you’ve done this harvest will be enjoyed for years to come in every bottle we craft. And to our community: we can’t wait for you to taste the story of this vintage — a story of resilience, transformation, and celebration.

Here’s to the 2025 harvest, and to the incredible people who made it possible!
