In 2010, the Gloria Ferrer Carneros estate vineyards benefitted from a near perfect growing season. The blend, after three and a half years on the yeast, is rich and complex, yet dry and elegant, and will only continue to improve with extended aging.

Straw yellow in color with an aromatic bouquet of blood oranges, green apples and toasty brioche. On the palate, this wine is refreshing and light with an elegant dry finish and bright citrus flavors.

The 2010 vintage will be remembered as one of the coolest growing seasons on record. The cool weather gave us high acidities which delayed harvest by several weeks. A severe heat spell hit in late August leaving some sunburn to the grapes. After trimming and cleaning up the sunburned vines, harvest began mid-September to avoid a second heat spike.

  • Fermented in stainless steel tanks at temperatures of 55° to 60°F to retain vibrancy and freshness

  • Aging on the yeast for 2-1/2 years developed great complexity and pinpoint, lasting effervescence
