Winter in the Vineyard

Vineyard Happenings
The Sheep are Back
Sheep provide a natural, effective form of grazing that supports both vine health and soil vitality. As they move through the rows, they gently graze cover crops and weeds without disturbing the vines themselves. This reduces the need for mechanical mowing, lowers fuel use, and minimizes soil compaction helping to protect the living structure of our soils.
Their presence also contributes natural fertilization, returning organic matter directly to the vineyard floor, cycling nutrients back to the soil and improving soil microbiology. Healthy soils lead to healthier vines, and ultimately, more expressive wines.
Awards and Accolades for the 2015 Carneros Cuvée
Beyond the numbers, this harvest was defined by its consistency and promise. Steady temperatures, healthy canopies, and even ripening across the estate gave us fruit of extraordinary balance and structure. Acids are vibrant, flavors are layered, and the potential for longevity is high. We’re filled with excitement to see how these wines evolve in the bottle — each one carrying the imprint of an outstanding season and the care of our people.
Looking ahead, the 2025 vintage will forever be remembered as the first vintage made with organic grapes from our estate. It’s a milestone that reflects not only our history, but our vision for the future — one rooted in sustainability, craftsmanship, and respect for the land.

2021 Brut Rosé
Medium-bodied and beautifully balanced, its bright acidity enhances the flavors of strawberry marmalade and tangerine, leading to a refreshingly juicy, soft finish.
