We partnered with our friend, Chef Jennifer Luttrell of Point Reyes Farmstead to create a delicious appetizer using the iconic Point Reyes blue! The secret to all the cheeses made on the farm lies in the unique combination of 3 key ingredients: Grade A milk from a closed herd of Holstein cows that graze on the pastures overlooking Tomales Bay, the coastal fog and the salty Pacific breezes. Get inspired with their perfectly paired appetizer recipe for Apple-Onion Chutney Point Reyes Original Blue Crostini.
Apple-Onion Chutney Point Reyes Original Blue Crostini

2 tablespoons butter
1 medium yellow onion, small diced (about 1 cup)
1 large Granny Smith apple peeled, cored and diced into ½” cubes
1/3 cup brown sugar

salt and pepper to taste
6 ounce wedge Point Reyes Original Blue cheese
Melt butter in heavy skillet. Add onions and apples, sauté until tender, about 10 minutes. Add brown sugar. Reduce heat and sauté until golden brown.
