This luxurious and complex wine carries bright aromas of brioche, lemon peel and almonds that lead to layers of flavors of Asian pear and Meyer lemon. The opulent texture and lively mouth feel is topped by a silky and lingering finish.

Food Affinities

The Anniversary Cuvée starts with an exceptional vintage: 2008. Our winemakers selected some of our best lots of the 2008 vintage Chardonnay to produce this exquisite Anniversary Cuvée, a wine that would be set aside for 40 months in our caves to reach a balance and elegance honoring such an occasion. This Anniversary Cuvée was produced in limited quantity and is a winery exclusive.

2008 will be remembered by Carneros grape growers as a challenging year. It was one that required more attentive care of the vines. Record frost in March and April damaged some of the vines followed by an unusual dry spell, which caused the yields to be lighter and slightly overripe. Despite the year's challenges the fruit quality was excellent, as the lower yields produced highly concentrated fruit flavors.
